By submitting the registration form for our Wes' Wish programs, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Eligibility
- This program is for immediate families (parents/guardians and siblings) of children diagnosed with pediatric cancer living in or being treated in or around the Hampton Roads area of Virginia only.
- Eligible children must be 0-18 years old and must be:
- In active treatment,
- On hospice,
- Off treatment for no more than 3 years, or
- bereaved within the last 3 years.
- Due to past issues, the following will be required in order to participate:
- A letter of verification must be sent directly from a social worker.
- All new families with more than 3 children will be required to bring in birth certificates.
2. Registration Deadline & Exceptions
- All registrations must be submitted by the stated deadline of October 5, 2025.
- The only exceptions to this deadline are:
- Recent relapse
- New diagnosis
- Transition to hospice
- Recently bereaved
- If one of these exceptions applies after the deadline, please email support@wesstrong.org.
3. Documentation Requirement
- Pre-registeration and a letter from your social worker or proof of diagnosis/treatment or date of last treatment from the treatment facility is required.
- Letters must be sent directly to support@wesstrong.org.
4. Age Groups & Programs
- The in-person shopping event is for children ages 0-8 only.
- Children 9-18 years old will participate in the Virtual Wes' Wishlist Program instead.
5. Use of Information
- You grant The Wes Strong Foundation permission to publicly share the information you provide for the Virtual Wes' Wishlist Program, including but not limited to your child's first name, age, gender, and details involving their interests, dislikes, sizing, and other wishlist information.
- The information provided for the Virtual Wes' Wishlist Program may be posted on our website, Amazon Wish Lists, social media platforms, newsletters, and other public outlets for the purpose of connecting donors/sponsors with your child's wishlist.
6. Confidentiality
- Personal details such as addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses will not be made public and will be used solely for communication and coordination with the foundation, unless you specifically give permission in order to reach out to the donor.
7. Consent
- By completing the registration, you confirm that you are the parent/legal guardian of the child(ren) you are registering and that you authorize The Wes Strong Foundation to use the information as outlined above.
- By registering, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and that you meet eligibility requirements.
- Misrepresentation of eligibility may result in disqualifications from current and future programs.
8. Limitations
- Participation in the Virtual Wes' Wishlist Program does not guarantee that all items requested will be purchased or fulfilled. Gifts are dependent on donor support.
- Items at the Wes' Wish Shopping Event are not guaranteed and are based on availability and donations received.
I confirm that I am registering for the Wes' Wish Shopping Event and/or the Virtual Wes' Wishlist Program and that my family meets the eligibility requirements. I understand that pre-registration and a letter from a social worker/proof of diagnosis/last date of treatment are required, and that new families with more than 3 children must provide birth certificates. I acknowledge that the shopping event is for children ages 0-8 only, and that the children ages 9-18 will be participating in the Virtual Wes' Wishlist Program. I understand that gifts are not guaranteed and will be based on availability/donor fulfillment. I also understand that registration deadlines will only be extended in cases of disease status change such as relapse, new diagnosis, transition to hospice or recent bereavement, and that in those cases, I must email support@Wesstrong.org.
