Wes’ Warrior Paks Initiative

When a child is going through cancer treatment, there are moments few people see.

Moments when nausea hits suddenly.

Moments when accidents happen.

Moments when a child has nothing to change into except an uncomfortable hospital gown that feels too big, too small, or simply not like them.

For children already facing the hardest fight of their lives, these moments can take away comfort, confidence, and dignity.

Wes’ Warrior Paks were created to change that.

Inspired by Wes and his own pediatric cancer journey, this initiative provides thoughtfully prepared care packages filled with essential comfort items for children in active treatment — helping them feel clean, comfortable, and like kids again during difficult hospital stays.

Each Warrior Pak includes brand-new essentials chosen specifically for hospital needs:

• Pajamas
• Underwear
• Grip socks

These simple items make a powerful difference — allowing a child to change quickly after illness or accidents and return to feeling safe, comfortable, and dignified.

Hospital gowns serve a medical purpose, but they often leave children feeling exposed and disconnected from normal childhood experiences. Many Children are left with wearing gowns that are too small or too large.

A fresh pair of pajamas can mean:

• Regaining confidence after a hard moment
• Feeling warm and secure during treatment
• Maintaining dignity during vulnerable times
• Holding onto a sense of normalcy

Sometimes the smallest comforts carry the greatest impact.

Warrior Paks are collected through community donation drives and online wish lists, then assembled and delivered directly to pediatric oncology hospitals.

Medical teams distribute the packs to children when unexpected needs arise — ensuring support is available exactly when it’s needed most.

Initial hospital partners include:

• Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (Norfolk, VA)
• Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York, NY)

Both hospitals played an important role in Wes’ cancer journey, making this initiative especially meaningful to our foundation.
